This program adopts a cross-disciplinary approach to tackle pressing environmental challenges. Integrating environmental science, technology, AI, and business management empowers learners to develop holistic solutions to climate-related issues. Through creativity, innovation, and collaboration, participants gain essential skills to shape a sustainable future.

Core Learning Objectives:

This project prepares learners for both academic and professional pathways while deepening their understanding of their role in building a sustainable environment. Through inquiry-driven activities, learners produce a robust portfolio demonstrating their mastery of key skills and their ability to design innovative solutions for real-world challenges.

Here is the class outline:

1. PROJECT LAUNCH [W1]

The focus of this milestone is to introduce the project and explore the driving question: "How can we design and implement innovative solutions to address sustainability challenges in our environment?" Learners will identify the project's goals, expected final outcomes, and deliverables while fostering enthusiasm and curiosity. An engaging entry event will set the tone for a collaborative and meaningful learning journey.

2. PATHWAY I - Environmental Science [WK2]

Jan 6, Bangkok

In the Gaia's Keepers module, Learners embody the role of Earth’s protectors, working as environmental scientists to understand, conserve, and restore ecosystems. Through hands-on activities, research, and simulations, learners explore biodiversity, climate science, and human impact on natural systems. They develop solutions to real-world challenges such as pollution, deforestation, and habitat destruction. This module combines scientific inquiry with a focus on sustainability, encouraging students to think critically about how to balance ecological health with human development.

3. PATHWAY II - Nature's Engineer [ WK3 ]

Jan 2, Relearn

Learners will explore sustainable solutions to the environmental challenges with technology through systems programs for environmental monitoring and automation and hands-on projects with IoT, robotics, and embedded systems. Learners will investigate sustainable solutions like smart irrigation and air quality monitors, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration for real-world impact.

4. PATHWAY III - Change Makers [ WK4-5 ]

5. DEFINE, IDEATE & PLAN [WK 6]

Learners will form interdisciplinary teams to create a company, social enterprise, or social initiative that tackles an environmental problem. They will recruit members with diverse specializations based on their chosen roles during the pathway exploration. As a team, they will identify an environmental issue, develop innovative solutions, and create actionable plans. The goal is to leverage diverse expertise to build impactful organizations that address sustainability challenges.

6. DEVELOP & TEST [WK 8-10]

Learners will bring their project plans to life by creating, testing, and refining prototypes or initial implementations of their solutions. They will focus on ensuring that their ideas are practical, effective, and impactful. Through an iterative process of feedback and improvement, learners will document their progress and prepare for final presentations, showcasing their journey from concept to implementation.

7. EVALUATE & REFLECT [WK 11]

This week focuses on reflection, refinement, and submission of evidence for competency mastery. Learners evaluate their progress, refine their solutions based on testing outcomes, and prepare polished final presentations. Emphasis is placed on personal and group reflection to enhance future collaboration and project execution.
